Social Media is on fire these few last weeks. As you can see in our last #WeeklySnacks the giants of social media are having the battle of the century in who’s the best in having real time features! The same thing you’ll see in this edition of #WeeklySnacks which comes with some interesting news! Have a nice read!
Is it just us or Facebook actually really tries to bury Snapchat? They’ve recently introduced “Messenger Day”, a feed of photos and videos similar to Snapchat, that last 24 hours.
“We know that people come to Messenger to share everyday moments with friends and family. In Poland we are running a small test of new ways for people to share those updates visually,” said one of Facebook’s spokespersons. We’re still not ready to give up on Snapchat, but who knows? Will this be better?
Do you remember using walkie-talkies with your siblings and friends when you were young? Well, there’s a new (not-so-new actually, since its been around for an year) app on the markets called “Marco Polo” that makes you want to turn back time. Sending short funny videos to friends became a habit of people all around the world, but is there place for another app that does that?
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Instagram actually had plans of introducing a live video option inside the app. This rumour coming from a russian news site said that a reader spotted a new “Go Insta” button within the app’s camera interface that starts a live-stream. We bet that those 500 thousand users of Instagram have no idea what comes their way.
This new update coming from Whatsapp lets users customize images and videos. Pixelating parts of images, adding captions, annotations and drawings are just some of the features of this update. All this sounds nice (and again, a little Snapchat-ish), but what we believe users will be happier about is the possibility of tagging someone inside the conversati0n. Admit it, it’s something you felt the need for!
This was about it, come back next Monday to enjoy the news you might have missed last week!
