Are you a designer in the field of branding and you have to put together an identity guideline for a brand? Then you should know that a good brand is like a watch: it’s made up of lots of little parts that work together to make the whole function properly.
There are a few things a designer shouldn’t do. Things like: don’t use comic sans, don’t design a draft before you have the copy, etcetera etcetera. There is something, though, that designers should avoid at any cost; Spec work.
What Instagram achieved is simply amazing. They are the living proof that a simple social media website can connect more than 400 million users on a single platform. Imagine that everything started with a mobile network that allowed you to add filters on your photo.
Today we are talking with Lola Landekic. She is the Graphic Designer of OCAD University and the Managing Editor of Art of the Title. Also she has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Toronto and a master’s in design from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
