There were and still are a lot of rumors saying banner ads are dead and that banner ads are losing their place in the industry and nobody is using it.And maybe they are right. But let me ask you something: What exactly is a banner ad?
Is it the annoying visual that pops-up and interrupts your daily online experience? Is it the notification you see about a special offer from your favorite brand? Or is it something you don’t really understand?
What if I rephrase it and say visual ads instead? Something that you use in your every daily work to promote your brand, your content marketing project or your entire business. Maybe “visual ads” sounds better than “banner ads”.
But let’s get back to banner ads and take a look at them the same way we look at visual ads.
The truth is, nobody knows how to create a great banner ad. And when I say “great”, I mean a banner ad that makes the user click on it because it contains valuable information at the right time, for the right person on the right platform.
After years of research and thousands of banner ads analyzed on our platform, we came up with the question – How can we help our users and the industry make better banner ads?
Besides being very serious about what we write on our blog and, staying updated and being present on social media, we wanted to give the community something that is only created and meant for them – a guide to design better banner ads.
Let me introduce you to: Banner Design Academy.
You will learn in 8 lessons what a banner ad really is, what are the technical considerations and how to understand your target.
This is why Bannersnack is more than a simple banner maker. It is and it will be an educational tool meant to teach you how to design a banner ad, a marketing tool that will help you design banner ads, help you with placement and timing and also give you the unique opportunity to a/b test them in real time with the first heatmap dedicated for banner ads.
Before you go check it out, allow me to give a round of applause to my great colleagues for making this happen! Thanks to my former colleague Laura who wrote this great piece of art, to Norbi who designed these wonderful illustrations, to Gery who made your reading experience more pleasant, to Louis, the guy behind the coding element and to Daniela who made sure to verify and double check everything in the final session before launch.
I would really appreciate it if you go to our Academy and share your opinion about it in a comment or on our Twitter or Facebook page.
And to really celebrate this project launch we want to offer you the opportunity of buying Bannersnack PRO at the price of Bannersnack Basic. This deal is for the whole month of April only. So get it now!
